The  OptimaTS  rapid  transfer  port  has  a  number  of  key  advantages  over  existing  systems:

Direct  acting  interlock  system.  As  the  beta  flange  is  docked  it  acts  directly  on  the  main-shaft  of  the  security  mechanism  to  ensure  a  positive，  precise  and  reliable  action.

No  fragile  membranes  used  for  sealing  the  security  mechanism.  Use  of  o-ring  seals  only  to  guarantee  robustness  and  long  term  reliability  of  leak  tightness.

No  damage  to  the  beta  parts.  The  innovative  design  of  the  security  actuating  mechanism  ensures  that  absolutely  no  damage  to  the  beta  door  or  flange  occurs  during  the  connection.

Fully  compatible  with  all  La  Calhène  beta  flanges  including  the  injection  moulded  consumable  CT270  flange  normally  reserved  for  single  use  operations  in  nuclear  applications.

Same  fixing  hole  diameters  as  the  La  Calhène  flanges.

Ergonomic  design  of  Alpha  door  handle  for  easily  operation  when  wearing  neoprene  or  hypalon  gloves.
